An OS Select map is printed on exactly the same type of paper that is used for our standard maps..

Each OS Select Map is individually customised by you and plotted using inkjet printers at 300 dpi giving a very high quality output. OS Select Maps cannot be produced by our off-set lithographic print press's used for the OS Landranger and OS Explorer products, consequently, OS Select maps differ slightly when compared to our standard range of paper maps.

OS Select maps use the same Ordnance Survey source data but are printed differently from the way that we print larger volumes of standard maps on a commercial printing press.

OS Select products are not supplied with a hard cover like our standard maps, but instead the cover image is printed directly onto the map paper (integral cover). However, if you choose the folded version of OS Select you will receive the map in a cardboard sleeve that helps to protect it.

Due to the bespoke printing method, OS Select does not show magnetic declination information.

You can choose to have your OS Select map produced from 1:25 000 scale or 1:50 000 scale mapping.

Mapping area size: 80 cm by 80 cm

OS Select – Landranger® version
Scale: 1:50 000
Coverage (on ground): 40 km by 40 km
Mapping area size: 80 cm by 80 cm
