Sheet explanations

Each Sheet Explanation is an A5-sized paperback booklet that describes and interprets the geology illustrated in the corresponding BGS 1:50 000 map.

They offer an overview of the map area whilst also describing aspects of the applied geology pertinent to planning and development. ‘Geology of London’ is a larger book that covers the Greater London area.
