Leisure and tourism are now drawing more people to this majestic mountain landscape with its hidden glens, waterfalls and lochs. Enjoy the bright green of native birch and rowan in spring, the summer purple of heather-clad hills, the russet tones of turning leaves and bracken or the black winter crags, etching their shapes on a land of snow or blurred into swirling mist.
