The city itself might not feature a wealth of green spaces and walking opportunities, but its mix of Victorian Industrial heritage, breathtaking modern revival and contemporary culture is worthy of investigation before venturing to the scenery beyond. Highlights here include walks that feature historic Kenilworth Castle, Mary Arden's House, home of Shakespeare's mother, and Baddesley Clinton. To the north of the city walks near Cannock Chase give onto the landscape of south Staffordshire.
